Auburn Basketball Is Coming to Birmingham

For the first time, Auburn and Alabama will meet in an exhibition — a neutral-site showdown coming to Legacy Arena in Birmingham this October.

Big news for Birmingham’s Auburn Family: Auburn men’s basketball is coming to town. On Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 7 p.m., the Tigers will face rival Alabama in a first-of-its-kind exhibition — billed as “The Feud” — at Legacy Arena in downtown Birmingham.

It’s the first time the two programs have met in an exhibition, and they’re doing it on neutral ground. Legacy Arena’s nearly 18,000 seats will be split evenly between Auburn and Alabama fans, setting up an electric, split-crowd atmosphere right in the heart of Birmingham.

A Big Night for Birmingham’s Auburn Family

For the thousands of Auburn alumni, families and fans who call Greater Birmingham home, this is a rare chance to see the Tigers play close to home. Bring the family, wear your orange and blue, and help pack the Auburn side of Legacy Arena.

Birmingham is one of Auburn’s largest communities — more than 1,000 Birmingham-area students head to Auburn every year — and having a marquee Auburn matchup in our own backyard is exactly the kind of moment that brings the local Auburn Family together. Auburn head coach Steven Pearl has pointed to the game as a unique opportunity for fans to see two rivals meet on a neutral floor.

A presale runs August 27–31, with general public tickets on sale beginning Tuesday, September 1. Seating is divided evenly between the two fan bases, so Auburn fans will want to claim seats on the Tigers’ side early.
