Since 1946, the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club has existed around two enduring purposes: fostering the Auburn Spirit and providing scholarships for Birmingham-area students to attend Auburn University.

The GBAC SOAR Fund builds on that legacy by bringing together alumni, families, businesses and friends of Auburn to strengthen both.

More than 1,000 Birmingham-area students enter Auburn each year — approximately one out of every six members of the freshman class.

SOAR is the charitable fundraising arm of the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club. Membership contributions support scholarships for Birmingham-area students attending Auburn University and the broader SOAR mission of fostering the Auburn Spirit and providing scholarship resources.

Annual memberships effectively provide two months free compared with paying monthly. For example, SOAR Individual is $5/month or $50/year.

A Family Membership covers your household, so members of your immediate family are included under a single membership rather than each needing their own.

SOAR Family membership or above provides eligibility to register for Aubie Claus. SOAR members register using the email address associated with their membership.

Supporters who helped establish the program will be recognized as SOAR Charter Members and will receive transition benefits and continued recognition as the program grows.

The SOAR Fund is part of the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
